YouTube is for cat videos.

Hi everyone! I'm writing this from mi home and a little late because I'm home, I just got really sick. I even may have a fever, so I'm sorry if this post doesn't make as much sense as it should. Well, today's topic is YouTube. As everyone should know by now, YouTube us a internet website were you can upload videos, share them, comment them and watch them for free. At this moment, it has a huge database of videos from all over the world, from homemade videos to professional music videos. It contains a very big amount of videos, mostly because this website allows people to share whatever they want to.
The first time I entered to YouTube must have been when I was in sixth grade, a friend of mine send me a Green Day video and I was kind of scared to see it because I thought it was those scary videos where the face of The Exorcist's girl's face appeared with a loud scream. But it wasn't: then I started searching for stuff and nowadays this website is part of my daily schedule. I use it to watch music video, live concerts, tv shows, funny videos, full length movies, weird and creepy videos, and mostly, cute animals videos (by now you shouldn't be shocked about this). I have a YouTube account, I don't comment much but I do put "I like" in comments and videos. I subscript to different channels: Lil BUB's, different famous cats, my friends, people that share awesome music, and artists.
I used to upload funny videos from my friends when I was in high school, but I don't do that now. Some moths ago I wanted to upload a music video from a musician I really love called Bill Fay, because this one song wasn't in YouTube. So I uploaded it but it was taken down because of the copyright of the song. I got really angry and now I don't upload music videos anymore.
I really like YouTube because there's a lot of material that people share, it's like a whole universe! It's possible to spend hours and hours (I have done this) watching from one video to another in a neverending loop of images and sound. I can listen to 80s soviet electronic music, then I can watch analog feedback psychedelic images, 60s videoart... And then this:

AN INCREDIBLE, SUPERB AND AMAZINGLY GIGANTIC COLLECTION OF CAT VIDEOS.

(Hope you are all doing okay, see you!)

I'm hungry.

Hi everyone! Today we have to talk about a topic I really love, almost as much as I loved writing about animals: FOOD.
Well, I have to start stating this: I love food, eating, trying different flavours and types of food. I love going out to eat to different places and eating strange stuff. I really love to try new flavours. But always without meat: like a said some posts ago I think, I don't eat beef, pork of chicken since I was 14 years old. I haven't even tried a little since then, and I don't crave for it either. I do eat fish and I like it too. So when I go out to eat it's difficult sometimes, because there are a lot of restaurants that have not vegetarian alternatives. I think there is a lot of people that have problems with this, not only vegetarians, also people with deseases like food allergies or diabetes, restaurants sometimes offer really little alternatives to people that don't eat some types of food.

Cat's aren't vegetarians. But I'm a human still so I'm okay. I love vegetables of all kinds, shapes and colours,

I love sweets too, I really love eating chocolate, cookies, and all that kind of stuff. I know it's not that good for me, so I try to control myself, or buying integral cookies and sugar free chocolate. I always try to look at the nutricional information in the packages, to know what I'm, really eating. I try to take care of what I eat, because some time ago I didn't really cared and I ate a lot of bad stuff for me, so I realized that maked me feel bad and without enough energy to face everyday's activities. I even had to start taking vitamin pills. So since then I started being more conscious of what I eat: I think it's important because it really affects how your body works, and you really do feel better when you eat healthy food. This doesn't mean you have to starve and eat just lettuce, there's a lot of alternatives and things to eat, variety is really important too to have a good diet. I have never been on a stric diet, I just try to watch out what I eat, and integrating in my habits buying and cooking nice stuff.

But I still love sweets.

I started cooking more when I moved to Santiago, before that I was a disaster in the kitchen. But I had to learn because I live alone, so I started looking at recipes in the internet. Sometimes it was a disaster (like a time a did rice and it was horrible and had to throw it), but it mostly comes out good now. I have learned to cook a lot of different things and I try to learn more. I'm not that good yet I think, but at least my boyfriend says he likes a lot the things I cook. He cooks really good as well.
When I was little I was really bad at eating, I have some traumas with this. I didn't liked a lot of food, and when I was in school or in my house people made me eat more tan I could, I was really small and I felt full really fast. I remember being obligated to eat everything at school, and staying hours trying to finish my plate. I really hated it. It was like this mostly untill I stopped eating meat: I had to learn to eat again, be more conscious of what I ate, trying different things and alternatives, and it really opened my options. Since then there's not a vegetable I really hate, I can stand all of them. Even if there's some that I don't love too much, like cauliflower, I can still eat it. When I was a girl I would just put it aside.

I eat when I'm happy and sad, but when I'm sad I tend to eat junk food, because it generates me a lot of anxiety, so I crave the fat in the food. I like fast food, but I try to avoid it as much as I can. But I don't think it's a sin to eat fast food once in a while, as long it's not everyday either. Well, I can't judge people who does this, I just don't like in myself because I really feel the difference in my body.
I love eating sushi. I tried it for the first time when I was like 13 years old and I fell in love. I like the fact that it's everyday more accesible, and there are a lot of places you can eat sushi nowadays. And I love the fact that it has delivery, because I accept that I am lazy, and food coming to your door must be the greatest idea ever. I like chilean food too, but most of it has meat. My all time favourite is "humitas". I love mexican food, italian food, oriental food, mostly everything. But I don't like food that is to hot, like chilli, because I don't tolerate it much. But "merkén" is okay and I like it, I like food that is really spiced up. To drink I love natural juices because I love fruits, I like drinking wáter too. I drink soda too, but I try to buy just sodas without sugar.
Well, and I love pizza as much a everyone too.

But I want mine without the pepperoni.

Well, writing about his made me kind of hungry. See you in the next post!

How green am I?

Hi everyone, this post I have to talk about the environment and Green practices. I've always loved nature, animals and plants. I really care for nature but I think I can do more stuff to help to care for it.Since I was a little child I played with snails, and I spend a lot of time in the garden, and I had a lot of animals, even a hen. So I know how important and beautiful natural life is. I remember that when I was a child I used to get upset with my dad when he even killed a fly. Since I am 14 years old I don't eat beef, pork or chicken meat, I just eat fishes. This started because I felt guilty about killing animals, I feel a lot of empathy with animals. I don't recycle much because I'm far away from recycling centers, and I've always felt I should care about this more, and I think I will buy different recycling containers soon for my apartment. I love to walk, but I do use the public transportation a lot to move in the city, I don't love it but at least it's more eco-friendly tan using a car just for one. The other problem is that I travel a lot to the shore because my family lives there, so I have to take the bus, it's way too far to walk o use a bike. I have a bike but I have a very bad sport resistance, so I can't do long distances because I get really red and I start breathing really loud and coughing. I think riding a bike now in this city is really dangerous, because car drivers don't have a respecting culture toward bikers, and this really concerns me. Respect is really important specially toward someone that is not making more smog, witch is terrible: when I moved to Santiago I could really feel how the air is bad, even having headaches from time to time. I think that in this country, the first step is to make people conscious, even in small actions like littering the streets, using less plastic bags in the supermarket. The important thing is to think about how what we do has conscequences. I think that, on the other and, there sould be more ambientalistic politics and laws, like having recycling containers in most of the places, safe spaces for people to ride their bikes, and more ambient-friendly alternatives to produce energy, specially in a country that has a lot of resources (sea, wind, a big desert).Well, I think I can do a lot more to be more eco-friendly from now on. I'll try to get more information about it in my area and start changing some habits I haven't changed yet.
